Your family belongs here—exactly as you are.

Preparing for church should build confidence, not pressure. Use these tools to anticipate the experience, communicate what helps, and give your child meaningful choices.

Practice the church journey with XTERMIGATOR and friends.

The Hellenic Edition follows children with different needs and supports from Sunday morning at home through the church doors and into worship. It makes questions, sensory tools, movement, rest, and communication part of the adventure.

A gentler plan for Sunday

1

Before church

Preview pictures, use a first-then plan, pack helpful items, and decide together what participation may look like.

2

During church

Choose supportive seating, allow tools and movement, notice early signs of overload, and take breaks before crisis.

3

After church

Recover without demands, notice what went well, and change one part of the plan for next time.

You are the expert on your child

Share support needs without apologizing.

A good parish partner wants to understand what helps. You may share as much or as little diagnostic information as you choose.

  • How your child communicates comfort, distress, “yes,” “no,” and “help.”
  • What sounds, smells, lighting, touch, crowds, or transitions may be difficult.
  • What your child enjoys and how they prefer to participate.
  • What early signs show that a break may help.
  • Which supports should be available privately and without attention.

A reminder for hard Sundays

Leaving early is not failing. Taking a break is not failing.

Belonging is not measured by stillness, eye contact, quiet hands, or how long a child remains in the room.
